Downtown on the Architectural Tour

I was reminded the other day how long it had been since I had posted. It's been a whirlwind of fun since B joined our lives. Words can't really describe how busy we've been...or how much fun we've been having. Here's a few pictures that may give you a clue!

'One Day at a Time' About Sums Up My Week!

Monday I saw patients all day: 48 hours away from my due date.

Tuesday morning we had our 40 week check-up. I had a feeling we might need the car seat for B, so I asked Kris to put it in the car. When TK saw it he got all excited, stating "Now B can come out and say 'Thank You, Mommy!'".

Check-Up Appointment: "Latent Labor"...AKA "Go Home"...So, what else to do? Finish up patients that were already scheduled...8pm Tuesday Evening: Finishing an emergency start at the office...

9:45am Wednesday Morning: Head to the hospital to have a baby! 1:44pm-Welcome B! All natural, weighing in at 9lbs 2.7oz...20". No small fries in this family!

Thursday 5:00pm: Check-out & head home to get TK...Back to reality + one extra ;)

Friday: Relax...Sort-of...if you call keeping up with a nursing newborn & a rambunctious 3 year old 'relaxing'.

I love this crazy life of mine! God's timing is ALWAYS perfect! Even for big stuff like having a baby! ;)

Preparing for B

Ready or not, she's coming! 3 weeks in counting...I think we are all getting excited to meet her. We spent the weekend getting all the baby stuff out and preparing the nursery. TK tried to fit into her tub and let me know, that "it's too small for him". He loves to lay on my belly and feel her kick. Last night he moved over so B could "sit" next to him at the restaurant...

I look forward to TK being an awesome big brother. He's very excited and keeps asking when she can come out.

The other day he told me, "When B is out of your tummy and your tummy is not so big, you can do the monkey bars with me." Yes, mi amor, I can't wait to be able to do that! ;)

"I'm Homeschooled"

I don't think TK really knows what this means, yet. And, I am not sure how it's all going to work out down the road, with me working and homeschooling, but for now, I have enjoyed the times I do get to sit down and work with him. He loves doing all the fun activities planned around the different letters we are learning about (and I have fun preparing them!). [Thanks to coahbutton for all the awesome teaching materials!]

He loves telling people "I'm homeschooled!". Hopefully that enthusiasm will stay around. These are definitely "mom & TK special times". :)

Happy Father's Day!

What a privilege it is to know so many awesome fathers who love their kids so much. I am truly blessed to have 3 such men in my life:

My father: A man who stepped into a situation and showed true love when he didn't have to...I love you, dad...THANK YOU!

My father-in-law: A man who shows his love, regularly, through helping us in small and big ways, and regularly "checking in on us". We love you, Papa!

Lastly, but certainly not least-My husband: A man who desires to show God's love, daily, to our son and to be the best dad he possibly can. TK is so blessed to have you as his dad. I love you, Kris!
